Thranduil was the only Elven King at the end of the Third Age, and although he was a Sindar Elf, most of his people were Sylvan Elves.

In 3430 A.D., Gilgarad, the High King of the Noldor, formed a final alliance with Elendil, the High King of the Dengdans, to resist Sauron's invasion of Middle-earth. Four years later, Aurefer joined forces with King Amdir of Rollorian in response to the war, and Thranduil joined the war with his father.

Due to the lack of equipment and the fact that the Woodlands were independent of Gilgalad's command, Orifer was killed in an attack. Sylvan Elven Command was transferred to Thrandil.

In 3441, when the war ended, Thranduil returned to the woodland kingdom with the remnants and was crowned king.

Around 1050 A.D., a "necromancer" founded the fortress of Dolgodo ("Mounds of Witchcraft") in Amunran, the old capital of the Woodland Kingdom, which was not realized until later that it was Sauron himself. The shadow-shrouded Green Forest was renamed Tar-Nu-Floating ("Dark Forest") or Tar-Ey-Nidedros ("Forest of Dread"), though its lingua franca name was more commonly used.

Even during the day, the forest was dark and gloomy, the air was heavy and stagnant, and evil creatures, including the descendants of Ongolion, began to breed in the forest.

In the middle of the Third Age, the Sylvan Elves of the Dark Jungle were greatly reduced. Thranduil and his people abandoned the Dark Forest Mountains and migrated northeast, fortifying near the Jungle River.

The Elves of Sylvan dug caves under the hills on both sides of the Jungle River and built a new capital, the Elven King's Hall, also known as the Woodland Palace, modeled after the underground architecture of Minni Kingdom, the capital of Doriath. Thranduil has since settled with his people, and has maintained trade relations with the humans of Long Lake through the Jungle River.

In 1636, the Great Plague swept through the Roman region, killing and wounding the people of the eastern part of the Dark Forest, but the elves of the woodland kingdom were not affected.

Although darkness still reigned in Thrandil's territory, he and his people loved the forest. In autumn, Thranduil wears a crown of red leaves and berries in his blonde hair, while in spring his tiara is made of woodland flowers. He and his people loved to hunt and drink in the woods.

Today's sudden visit from the dwarves and hobbits had clearly made the elven king, who had gone through two eras, smell something different, and he had heard the news from Rivendell.

Soon Ao Long and Thorin Oak Shield were brought to the main hall of Thranduil, King of the Woodlands, a simple but elegantly carved hall full of elves, surrounded by a long wooden bridge leading to the other rooms, and Thranduil was surrounded by Thorin Oak Shield, who was clearly familiar with his old lordship.

"Some people think that this will be a sacred journey, to slaughter the dragon and take it home, but I think the motive may not be so simple, to steal the treasure, or to have other intentions. You've found the secret passage, and you've tried to retrieve the jewel that gave you dominion, the King's Jewel!! Akon Gems!! To you, his value is immeasurable, I understand!! "

Looking at Thorin's changing face, Thranduil knew that he had guessed correctly, these dwarves had come to the Woodland Kingdom just to return to the Lonely Mountain, so the purpose was self-evident.

Gracefully seated back on his throne, Thranduil looked at Thorin with a smile and continued:

"There are also gems in the Lonely Mountain that I am interested in, white gemstones, as pure as starlight, and I will help you."

"Hmph, I'm listening..."

Thorin was noncommittal about Thrandil's claims.

"I'll let you go on the condition that my things be returned to me!!"

"Hehe, are you still reciprocating..."

With a sneer, Thorin turned to leave, clearly prepared to refuse to cooperate.

"I assure you, in the honor of the king!!"

Thranduil saw Thorin's refusal and hurriedly said, it seems that he really wants to get his white gem back.

Ao Long knew that those white gems belonged to the king of the woodlands, but Thorin's father, Thorne, caused a rift between the two clans because he was greedy for ink.

"I don't believe you, Thranduil!! The Great King will keep his promises, even if the end comes, you!! No credit!! I have seen you break your covenant, we have starved, we have been displaced, we have sought your help, but you have turned away!! It's you, who have abandoned my people!! Let them be devoured by the flames of destruction, and may they die in the flames!! "

Thorin's angry roar resounded through the hall, and it was clear that he still remembered the anger of those years, perhaps in his opinion, since the alliance had been made, it was only natural for the elves to fight for them.

Thranduil heard Thorin's words, and became furious, and approached Thorin, revealing the scars on his face, which were also burned by the dragon's flames, and had not yet fully recovered.

"Don't mention Long Yan to me, I know his power of destruction, I have faced the dragons of the north!!"

The deep scars on Thranduil's face were so hideous that he had completely lost the handsomeness of the elven king, and it was clear that the dragons of the north had left him with a scar that he would never forget.

"I warned your grandfather of the consequences of his greed, but he did not listen to others. You are exactly like him, if you want, stay here until you rot, for the elves, a hundred years, is only a moment, I can wait!! "

After saying that, he walked up and two elven guards, ready to take Thorin down and lock him up.

Ao Long knew that the time had come for him to appear, and since Gandalf was not there, let him save the stubborn dwarf.

"Wait, King Thrandil!! And Thorin, listen to me!! "

Ao Long, who had been standing aside, stopped the two elven guards from taking Thorin away, and looked at Thranduil, the king waved his hand very facefully, and the guards returned to their original positions.

"You're the Ao Long of the Divine Dragon Country, what do you have to say?"

Apparently the Woodland King is not as difficult to speak as the dwarves, and Thorin is only reeling from the pain of his past.

"I think, as a visionary king and a bold hero, you should have the courage to face the bleak and dare to create a new epic, although I know that you have both suffered indelible damage to each other, but now the enemy we are facing is the same, what we need is to unite, for the White Jewel, Thorin, as far as I know, it was originally an item of Thranduil, why in the Lonely Mountain I think you know it well."

Saying this, Ao Long glanced at Thorin, and saw that he was about to speak, and it was obvious that Thrandil's decision to let him sit in prison just now, and the mark of the battle with the evil dragon had touched the dwarven king's heart.

"Then Lord Dwarven King, it is the most important thing for us to get to the Lonely Mountain before the day of Dulin, whether the white gem is returned to its original owner, or as a reward, it is all based on our ability to take it back from the hands of the evil dragon. Then Your Highness Thranduil, I think that as a condition, it is not enough to let us pass, I hope that you will be able to help us intercept the orc pursuers behind us, and in return, I can heal the scars on your face additionally!! "

Ao Long made two conditions that Thorin and Thranduil could not refuse.

For Thorin, it is undoubtedly the most important thing to rush to the Lonely Mountain before the day of Dulin, and the orcs behind him are obviously unable to deal with it at the moment, and it will be much easier if the woodland kingdom comes forward.

And Thranduil's facial scars, if they can be healed, it is obvious that this king will not refuse, a white gem can make him remember for so long, let alone the almost disfiguring dragon flame wound.
